Contemporary art was originated after the Second World War. It is also called today’s art. The museums of contemporary art have the art collection of Second World War.
Contemporary art exhibition is organised by commercial art galleries, public association, and contemporary art galleries and personally by artists themselves. Contemporary artists are aided by government with grants, awards and prizes. Government help the artists to sell their product directly.
The relation between private and public organisation of contemporary art is very close. Individual person donated fund for the upliftment of contemporary art. Contemporary art depicts the picture of present socio economic, political, cultural and academic changes. This art is flexible, not rigid. This art is related to the revolution brought in the present day world.
Contemporary artists present the idea behind their work. They do not give attention to the medium. They reflect present day problems and issues regarding global warming, human rights, and bio-technology and politics through their art.
There are contemporary art prizes such as Emerging Artist Award awarded by The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum. The Vincent Van Gogh Biennial Award for contemporary art in Europe was founded by the Broere charitable foundation.
There are varieties of art deco oil paintings originated during that time. Other oil painting styles are Abstract, American Realism, and Folk etc. Oil painting galleries sell various kinds of frames and oil pictures for homes, restaurants and offices. The famous artist’s literary collection is assembled there. The famous artists are Leonardo Da Vinci and Claude Monte.
Jaipur is the centre of contemporary art. Its main attraction is miniature painting and pottery. The Samanavi Gallery covering a large area brings many art lovers from far destination to the exhibition and art galleries.
Contemporary art is the continuing creation that has started from 1970 till now. But modern art has originated from 1880 to 1970. This art is ever changing that change with the growing development.
