For art lovers, Rome’s spectacular Sistine Chapel is a photo opportunity like no other. It’s the most famous chapel in the Vatican City’s Apostolic Palace – the official residence of the Pope. Venice is also an unmissable destination. Spread across 117 small islands, which are linked by 150 canals and 409 bridges, this city proves popular amongst tourists. You will be able to take pictures at some truly unique angles if you choose to take the famous gondola rides that regularly run through the centre of Venice.
Venice’s main square, the Piazza San Marco is always a great spot for pictures. Photographers are provided with a fantastic architectural backdrop on its east side, which hosts Venice’s most famous church – St Marks’ Basilica. You are also never far away from any of the charming Venice hotels. In between all of the photography and sightseeing, you are able to enjoy the usual selection of restaurants, cafe’s, bars and shops.
There is certainly no shortage of things to snap in Rome and Venice. However, always make time to stand back and take in the natural beauties of the areas. Best of all, some of the best sights such as Rome’s River Tiber and Venice’s vistas of the surrounding Dolomites Mountains are free of charge to visit.
