Much Ado About Nothing and Othello?

Alright, well I watched both “Much Ado About Nothing” and “Othello” and now I’ve got a few questions I can’t quite seem to figure out-so if I can get your oppion on these that would be great! -Thanks!

“Much Ado” is set in Renaissance Italy, “Othello” was written at the beginning of the Baroque (approximately 1603). Each captures the essence of the art and social styles of the time. Shakespeare especially uses the concept of Light vs. Shadow or light/dark contrasts in these two plays. Explain the obvious uses of light and shadow in BOTH plays and then the more subtle ways dealing with the people, their natures, their races and other social considerations.

O and I think I know this one but it would just be great to get your oppion to reassure myself-
What or who is the driving force in the way each play ends?

Creation of the play

Much Ado About Nothing was probably created in 1598-1599. The play is not mentioned by Francis Meres in Palladis Tamia, published in 1598. The quarto edition of 1600 names the comic actor William Kemp in some of the speech headings intended for the character Dogberry. Shakespeare must have been writing the play before Kemp left the Lord Chamberlain’s Men early in 1599.
